EdTech startup STEMuli raises $3.25M to transform traditional classroom learning with the Educational Metaverse
On March 18, 2020, with the coronavirus rampant, Dallas Independent School District Superintendent Michael Hinojosa shut down in-person learning temporarily.
Taylor Shead founded STEMuli in 2016 with her former Apple Inc. coworker Wade Aston with the goal of connecting students to virtual mentoring and internships.
The Dallas Foundation awarded the $50,000 prize for FreeWorld’s efforts to end generational poverty and recidivism by “accelerating economic mobility for returning citizens.”
